So we all had crushes. Crushes that lasted a good month. After getting to know these boys it was over. We liked them as people but nothing else. Most of them became my brothers. It was actually the night they taught us how to sneak out that we stopped liking them. But for their sake, we wont get into detail. I think it was about this time when Fremont High students got the terrible news about our friend, Jed. He was my brothers age and my really good friends older brother. He got in a car accident. I will never forget that. I will never forget going to my friends house the day after it happened. That feeling in her house. Love and the spirit. It will stay with me forever. Tracking off subject, my crush gave me my famous nickname, BB2. Well... it was actually his older, graduated friends who gave me that name. I remember them calling my at 2 in the morning on school nights. I had never even met these boys! They would call and text all the time. My crush also took me on my very first date. We went ice skating, then to his friends house. He was really nervous to pick me up. He called and told me to come outside.... No my crush, you come to the door. So he came. On this night, my cousin happend to be at my house. Now, my cousin has a lot of character, a lot. For those who know him, you will find this story very pleasing, you will probably chuckle or find a slight grin to your lips. So there we are at my front door ready to leave, when my cousin turns the corner (by the way, they are the same age) with a gun over his shoulder, an army hat on his head, and a smirk on his face. He looks at my crush and in a pirate sounding voice pleasingly says "hmmm.... we have an intruder...." he sounded like that hunter on Tarzan. Oh boy.... time to leave, and we were gone. The date was fun even though he was nervous. Boys shouldnt be nervous for dates. If you are a boy and you are reading this, dont ever be nervous. The girl is just as nervous as you are. There is no need. Anyway, that year went on. In about February I got my first official boyfriend, it lasted about a month. He was from Weber. Very good looking, kinda psycho. He told my family he had a full ride scholarship to Weber State to play football. Huge lie. Isn't it funny how some boys are so scared to just be themselves? Its really sad actually. But boys will be boys right? The rest of sophomore year went by smoothly. Listening to The Way I Live, laying on the track mat, meeting other senior boys on the track mat... :) At my brothers graduation, I was so sad that they were leaving. They made school fun. What was I going to do without them?
